We are now looking for a great Data Engineer to support our Engineering team in Berlin. You will drive the innovation of our data engineering processes, interfacing with our frontend and backend engineers!  Every decision at Grover is data-driven, you will be working on the systems and tools that define our analytical power. 


As our new Data Engineer, you will : 

  • Create machine-learning algorithms, to help data scientists improve Grover's platform
  • Build robust distributed systems to process large scale data streams into useful applications
  • Engineer fast, real-time data pipelines to process data from multiple sources to make fast and accurate decisions
  • Implement risk monitoring systems to improve tracking and mitigation of several risks including fraud
  • Work closely with data scientists and collaborate with back-end, front-end engineers to build products for gathering timely insights about our customers. 
  • Create monitoring systems to track the quality of data and the health of our systems

    We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer with :

    • 3 + years' experience as a Data Engineer in a fast-paced / start-up company 

    • Proficiency in Python, and knowledge of SQL

    • Hands-on experience with cloud database platforms, ideally Amazon Redshift and AWS suite. 

    • Understanding of distributed systems, working in a similar tech stack. We are using ELK, Kafka, Redis, and Zookeeper.

    • Experience with Async programming (Asyncio, tornado, twisted, Trio) is a plus

    • Experience working with REST APIs and/or SOAP is a plus
