Product Owner, Onboard (m/w/x)

Job description

Grover is the new alternative to buying or financing tech products

Grover offers a simple, monthly subscription model for the tech you love. We are a technology rental platform for the Circular Economy, breaking the link between ownership and usage. For a low monthly fee, private customers, as well as businesses, get access to a wide assortment of tech products at a fraction of the purchase price. We're on a mission to re-invent consumption and to make innovative technology accessible to everyone. As a member of the CE100 group of leading companies in the Circular Economy worldwide, we are at the forefront of reducing waste and establishing a more sustainable way of using products for both consumers and the environment.

To date, we have raised more than €100 million in equity and debt from investors including Samsung, Commerzbank, and Global Founders Capital. LinkedIn ranks Grover as one of the Top 10 hottest startups to work for in Germany in 2019.

We are now looking for a Product Owner to support Onboarding.

Your role:

  • Lead a cross-functional squad that aims to optimize user onboarding for B2B and B2C customers, from sign up, to scoring, to open banking, to payments, to inventory allocation, and 3rd party logistics services
  • Identify opportunities in customer pain points and design systems that drive key metrics
  • Make thoughtful trade-offs among a diverse set of team and company priorities
  • Write user stories and hypothesise detailed specifications
  • Structure work with key stakeholders across BUs to maximise positive outcomes through weekly or daily meetings, using tools such as Asana, G Suite, or Slack, Product Hypothesis Documents (PHDs), or anything that helps achieve outcomes
  • Communicate product plans and results to engineers, leadership, and internal customers
  • Review and track impact from releases from your cross-functional squad

You are:

  • An open-minded fast learner who quickly builds trust with their team
  • Intimately familiar with agile best practices
  • Numbers and data-driven
  • Meticulous when it comes to spotting opportunities, defining product specifications, and discovering data insights
  • Convinced that mobile eCommerce UX is in your blood, and that “calculated risks” is your middle name
  • A self-starter that takes pride in excellent craftsmanship
  • Able to prioritise and communicate complex requests into Product Hypothesis Documents (PHDs)

You have:

  • 3+ years as a product owner of a B2C eCommerce or Fintech product
  • 3+ years working in product management
  • Experience at a hyper growth startup or challenger neobank
  • Experience managing technical products while optimising business processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An understanding of risk, operations, and payments operations

It's a plus if you have:

  • Experience working with financial risk profiling and open banking standards
  • Experience designing or coding
  • Understand the potential of the circular economy to transform consumption
  • Background in SEO, statistics, design, or engineering

What we offer you:

  • Entrepreneurial responsibility and flat-hierarchies
  • Ownership of your work
  • Modern, spacious office located in central Berlin
  • Open minded variety of nationalities
  • German Classes in the office
  • A fun workplace
